Saltash, Cornwall – 10 May 2013

The 20 metre Celtic cross, designed by Simon Thomas and engineered by David Kendall of Optima Projects has been lifted into place alongside the Tamar Bridge at Saltash, UK.

In a collaborative project with Gateguards UK, Independent Composites were tasked with the manufacture of the main composite spars and structural rings at the head of the Cross. On completion the main spars and rings were transported to Cornwall for final assembly, painting and installation.
